Carl Gustav Hempel

Carl Gustav "Peter" Hempel (8 Januari 1905 – 9 November 1997) adalah penulis dan filsuf Jerman. Ia merupakan tokoh utama dalam empirisisme logika, aliran filsafat ilmu abad ke-20. Ia dikenal atas karyanya tentang model deduktif-nomologis penjelasan ilmiah yang diakui sebagai "model standar" penjelasan ilmiah tahun 1950-an dan 19660-an. Ia juga dikenal sebagai pencetus paradoks gagak (kadang disebut "paradoks Hempel").^[2]
